CPSIA Certificates of Conformity

We are happy to announce that Sage Creek Organics is now CPSIA complaint.

On August 14, 2008, President Bush signed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. The legislation, among other things, significantly increases the authority and funding of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), imposes new restrictions on lead and phthalates in children’s products, and imposes new consumer product safety requirements on a wide range of consumer products.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted late on Jan. 30, 2009, to postpone for one year the enforcement of testing and certification requirements under Section 102 (a) of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). CPSC did not postpone the February 10, 2009 effective date of the lead content requirements of CPSIA Section 101 (a)(2). This means that the 600ppm lead content standard for accessible components set by Congress remains. However the need to test and certify compliance is now being put off for a year while CPSC develops implementing rules.

In spite of this extension, we at Sage Creek Organics have tested all of our products to ensure that they comply with CPSIA. You can be assured that when you buy Sage Creek Organics, you are receiving a product with the highest standard of quality to ensure that your customers receive the best and safest product for our children and our environment. We know that you share our concern for the safety and well being of our children. Thank you!
